Pocketpair has announced that Palworld leaves Early Access with its full version 1.0 launch in 2026, bringing a major new region, new Pals, and a redesigned mid-game. The game has been in Early Access since January 2024 and has received steady content updates — including the large Sakurajima and Feybreak island expansions — in the lead-up to 1.0. Existing saves are intended to carry over, though some details may shift on final release, so cross-check in-game after launch.
Palworld launched with around 100 Pals and has expanded well past that through free content updates, with more arriving in the v1.0 update. Each Pal has its own element, combat stats, Partner Skill, and a set of work suitabilities that determine its base jobs. Catching new species for the first time also grants bonus XP and Technology Points, so building out your Paldeck is rewarded both in power and progression.
Yes — Palworld supports co-op for up to 4 players in an invite session, and dedicated servers for up to 32 players. Cross-play support has expanded over the game’s Early Access period; the simplest setup for friends is to play the same platform and edition, or to run a dedicated server everyone connects to by IP. Many mechanics, including base raids, scale with the number of players in a session.
Spend your first hour gathering Wood and Stone, crafting a Workbench and Stone tools, and mining the blue Paldium Fragments needed for Pal Spheres. Weaken wild Pals before throwing a sphere, then place a Palbox on flat ground near ore and assign every Pal you catch to a base job — idle Pals produce nothing. Unlock the Hot Spring early so your base keeps running while you explore. See our beginner’s guide for the full step-by-step.
