Palworld Pal Fluids Farming Guide

Pal Fluids are a deceptively important crafting material — you barely notice them until a mid-game recipe demands a stack and your inventory is empty. They come exclusively from Water-element Pals, so knowing which Pals drop them and where they cluster turns a tedious hunt into a quick farming run. This guide covers the best farming spots, a base-based method, and what Pal Fluids actually make.

01What Are Pal Fluids and What They Make

Pal Fluids (the in-game item is named Aquatic Pal Fluids) are a material dropped by Water-type Pals. They feed into several practical recipes, which is why running out stalls your progress:

• Cement — needs 20 Stone, 1 Bone, and 1 Aquatic Pal Fluid; used throughout advanced building structures.
• Cryogenic Coolant — combines 1 Aquatic Pal Fluid with an Ice Organ and a Powerful Fishing Magnet, then feeds cooling gear like the Electric Cooler and Cold Food Box for temperature control and egg incubation.
• Saddles for Water Pals and several consumables (remedies, recovery meds, fishing bait) also call for Aquatic Pal Fluids.
• Plantation technologies (crop upgrades) and assorted furniture/infrastructure recipes use them too.

Because several building and cooling recipes need them at once, it pays to farm a buffer of Pal Fluids before you hit the mid-game construction wall rather than scrambling for them one recipe at a time.

02Which Pals Drop Pal Fluids

Only Water-element Pals drop Pal Fluids, on defeat or capture. The best farming targets are common, low-level Water Pals you can clear quickly:

• Pengullet — abundant near water in the starting regions; the classic early farm.
• Celaray — found around coasts and lakes; reliable drops.
• Fuack — common Water Pal, easy to farm in numbers.
• Gobfin — slightly tougher but drops well and clusters near beaches.
• Surfent, Jormuntide and other larger Water Pals — drop more per kill if you can take them down efficiently.

Higher-level Water Pals drop more Pal Fluids per defeat, but the fastest rate usually comes from clearing a dense pack of low-level Water Pals you can one-shot with a strong partner Pal.

03Best Pal Fluids Farming Spots

Look for coastlines, lakes, and rivers where Water Pals spawn in clusters. A good farm loop has several Water Pals close together so you can clear, move a short distance, and let the first group respawn:

• Starting-region lakes and coasts — packed with Pengullet and Fuack; ideal for an early, safe farm.
• Beaches with Gobfin packs — denser drops once you can handle the slightly higher level.
• Any river bend near your base — convenient for repeat runs between other tasks.
• Bring a strong Grass or Electric partner Pal (Water is weak to both) to one-shot targets and speed up the loop.

Mounted movement makes farming far faster — ride between spawn clusters, dismount to clear, and circle back as Pals respawn after a short delay.

04Passive Farming at Your Base

Since the 1.0 update you can go properly hands-off:

• Catch a Kelpsea (common on shorelines, including near the Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings) and assign it to a Ranch at your base — it generates Aquatic Pal Fluids on its own, no combat or trips required.
• Keep that Kelpsea leveled, fed, and rested — a well-cared-for Ranch worker produces more over time than a neglected one.
• Water Pals assigned to Watering stations irrigate crops and run water-powered structures like the Crusher and Mill — useful for your farm generally, but note this is not what produces Pal Fluids; that's the Ranch/Kelpsea combo above.
• Stockpile in a dedicated chest so a mid-game recipe never catches you empty, and top up with an active kill/catch loop (previous section) if the Ranch alone can't keep pace.

A single Ranch Kelpsea won't match a dedicated farming run for raw volume, but it removes Pal Fluids from your list of things you ever have to actively grind for.
