About HowToPlayHub
HowToPlayHub is an independent, fan-made hub of clear, practical how-to-play guides for the biggest games. One place to learn the systems, beat the bosses and stop wasting time — researched from the sources that actually know, and checked against the version of the game you are playing.
What we do
We write beginner guides, walkthroughs, builds and how-tos for the games people actually play. Each game gets its own home, styled to match its world, with guides that get you from your first hour to confident play.
How we write
- Facts first. We verify details against reputable sources — official wikis, patch notes and established community guides — and update pages as games change.
- No leaks, no hype. For unreleased games we stick to what's officially confirmed and clearly label anything that isn't.
- Original everything. Every diagram, emblem and share image on the site is drawn for it as original vector artwork, and we never copy text from another site. Game screenshots are a deliberate exception: those are official media published by the game's own developer or publisher, shown with a visible credit and a link back to the source. We don't take images from other guide sites, wikis or fan galleries.
- Checked against a version. Most guides carry a ✓ Verified for badge naming the game build their facts were checked against, and we revisit affected guides after a patch instead of leaving stale steps up.
- Plain and scannable. Short paragraphs, real steps, no padding to hit a word count.
What we are not
HowToPlayHub is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any game publisher or developer. All game names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used here for descriptive, editorial purposes only.
How we use AI
Openly: AI helps us draft and structure these guides. It is good at turning scattered patch notes, wiki pages and community findings into a clear set of steps, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest.
What AI does not get to decide is whether something is true. Every guide is researched against primary sources — official patch notes, developer posts and established community documentation — and the game build it was checked against is recorded on the page. Facts that we cannot confirm are either left out or clearly labelled as unconfirmed, which is why guides for unreleased games say so on the page. Site artwork is hand-authored vector work, not generated imagery; game screenshots are official publisher media, credited on the page.
Since 31 August 2026 a guide also has to show that work: the Sources list at the end of a page names the pages the facts were checked against, so you can go and disagree with them. As of 5 September 2026 every guide on the site carries one — the whole back catalogue was re-checked article by article rather than simply labelled.
That pass was not cosmetic. Roughly three quarters of the older guides needed something in the text corrected, and the errors were not only stale patch numbers: there were mechanics, items and even character names that no version of the game ever had. Anything that could not be confirmed against a real source was cut rather than left standing. If you find something that still looks wrong, the corrections address is the fastest way to get it fixed.
Corrections
Games change, and we get things wrong like anyone else. If a step no longer works, or a number is out of date, tell us at contact@howtoplayhub.com — we check it against the source and fix the guide, and the page's update date moves with the fix. Nothing gets quietly edited away.
Who writes these guides
Every guide on this site is written and fact-checked by Radim Sekera, an independent software developer based in the Czech Republic. One person, named on every page — there is no rotating pool of anonymous contributors and no syndicated content bought in from elsewhere.
He has been playing games his whole life and does not specialise: soulslikes, survival crafting, RPGs, shooters, sims, roguelikes and the odd farming game all get played rather than merely researched. Most of that happens on a desktop PC, which is why guides here tend to take PC specifics seriously — settings, performance, mouse-and-keyboard quirks and mod-adjacent questions — instead of treating them as an afterthought to a console walkthrough. It is also why the site covers a genuinely wide spread of games rather than one narrow niche: the range on the front page is roughly the range of what he actually plays.
That also means the buck stops in one place. If a guide is wrong, it is wrong because he got it wrong, and the corrections address goes straight to him. He also builds the site itself — the guide generator, the search, the interactive planners and calculators are all custom-built rather than bolted-on plugins, which is why a guide can ship with a working tool instead of a screenshot of one.

Who publishes this site
HowToPlayHub is published by Radim Sekera as an independent project. There is no parent company, no publisher deal and no sponsored placements — the site is funded by advertising, and the person deciding what gets written is the one whose name is on it.
