Not yet — Halo: Campaign Evolved is set to launch on July 28, 2026, with early access from July 23, 2026 for those who pre-order. It releases on Xbox Series X/S, PC (Steam and the Microsoft Store), and PlayStation 5 — the first time a mainline Halo campaign has come to PlayStation. Cross-check the official Halo Waypoint site closer to launch in case the date shifts.
It's a ground-up remake built in Unreal Engine 5 by Halo Studios, not a simple visual upscale. It includes all ten original campaign levels from 2001's Halo: Combat Evolved with reworked visuals, cinematics, and level design, plus three brand-new prequel missions focused on Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson. It also adds nine additional weapons pulled from later games in the series, destructible Covenant vehicles, and collectible Skulls that modify gameplay.
It does not include the classic competitive multiplayer that shipped with the original Combat Evolved (that lives on in Halo Infinite and Master Chief Collection). What it does have is full campaign co-op for up to four players, with cross-platform play and cross-progression across Xbox, PC, and PlayStation 5.
No. Campaign Evolved retells the complete story of the Pillar of Autumn's crash-landing on Installation 04 and Master Chief's fight against the Covenant, so new players can start here. The three new prequel missions are also designed to ease newcomers into the setting before the classic campaign levels begin.
