Halo: Campaign Evolved PC System Requirements

Halo: Campaign Evolved runs on a heavier Unreal Engine 5 build than a lot of players expect from a Halo game. Its official Steam store page lists exactly two spec tiers — Minimum and Recommended. If you see a guide listing four tiers ('Medium' and 'Ultra' included) with specific extra GPUs and VRAM numbers, that's not what Halo Studios actually published — here's what the Steam page itself says.

03What the Steam Page Doesn't Specify

A few things worth knowing before you go looking for numbers that aren't there:

• No separate VRAM figure. The store page lists GPU models but doesn't call out a VRAM requirement for either tier.
• No DirectX version listed. Unlike many PC releases, the Steam page doesn't specify a DirectX requirement.
• No 'Medium' or 'Ultra' tier. Some third-party roundups describe four spec tiers with additional GPUs (like an RTX 3070 or RTX 4080) slotted in between Minimum and Recommended — Halo Studios has not published those as official tiers. Treat any such numbers as unofficial extrapolation, not a Halo Studios spec sheet.
• Windows 11 only. The store page lists Windows 11 for both tiers — it does not list Windows 10 as supported.

SSD strongly implied: both tiers list 100 GB of storage without specifying SSD vs. HDD on the store page itself, but Unreal Engine 5 titles generally stream textures and assets aggressively, so an SSD is the safe assumption for smooth performance even though it isn't spelled out as a hard requirement.

Resizable BAR isn't listed as a requirement either, but it's a reasonable thing to enable in your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI if your CPU and GPU support it — Unreal Engine 5 titles tend to benefit from it in general, even without Halo Studios calling it out specifically for this game.
