Halo: Campaign Evolved Editions & Pre-Order Guide
Three editions, one pre-order bonus everyone gets, and one edition that's already sold out. Here's what's actually in each version of Halo: Campaign Evolved so you're not paying for early access or cosmetics you don't care about.
Halo: Campaign Evolved has three editions: Standard ($49.99), Digital Premium ($69.99), and a physical Collector's Edition ($199.99, sold out as of June 8, 2026). Every edition includes the Foundry Armory Pack pre-order bonus. Only Premium and Collector's Edition buyers get five days of early access starting July 23, 2026, ahead of the July 28 full release; Premium's extra $20 mainly buys cosmetic armor/weapon skins, a digital artbook, and a short story, not extra gameplay.
01Standard Edition — $49.99
The base game plus the Foundry Armory Pack pre-order bonus, which includes:
- A classic 2001-style Master Chief armor skin
- A classic-style Assault Rifle skin
- A Gilded Onyx armor style
- A Milestone Assault Rifle weapon style
This gets you the full campaign, including Operation: Meteorite, all 42 Skulls, and Campaign Remix — everything covered in the rest of our guides. There's no gameplay content locked to the higher editions.
02Digital Premium Edition — $69.99
Everything in Standard, plus the Alpha Halo Armory Pack and a small digital extras bundle:
- 5 extra armor skins: Splintered Warden, Lochagos, Mobile Armor Type 117, Timberwolf, and Gestalt.
- 6 extra weapon skins: Subanese Fang (Energy Sword), Laconian Lance (Battle Rifle), Proto Type (SPNKr), Savage Tooth (Sniper Rifle), Cold Iron (Magnum), and Colossus (Fuel Rod Cannon).
- Digital Story & Art Collection: the Art of Halo: Campaign Evolved digital artbook, the 'Halo: Hungry Buzzards' short story by Troy Denning, and a digital game manual.
- Five days of early access, starting July 23, 2026 at 8 AM PDT — the biggest practical difference from Standard.
If you already own Standard, you can upgrade to Premium for roughly $20 (price varies by region) rather than buying it again from scratch.
03Collector's Edition — $199.99 (Sold Out)
The physical Collector's Edition was $199.99 and includes a Premium Edition voucher for the digital game plus early access, on top of physical items:
- A collectible SteelBook case
- A 12-inch Master Chief statue produced by Dark Horse
- An LED Cortana data chip replica
- Three 11x17-inch concept art prints
- A physical game manual in the original 2001 style
It's been sold out since June 8, 2026, so unless a restock is announced, Digital Premium is the closest equivalent for anyone chasing the early access window.
04So, Which Edition Should You Actually Buy
- Just want the campaign? Standard covers it — nothing in Premium or Collector's changes the missions, weapons, Skulls, or Campaign Remix.
- Want to play five days early (from July 23 instead of July 28)? You need Premium at minimum, since that's currently the only available edition with early access — the Collector's Edition is sold out.
- Care about cosmetics and lore extras more than early access? Premium's armor/weapon skins and the Troy Denning short story are the actual content difference for the extra $20.
- Want a physical statue and SteelBook? That was the Collector's Edition specifically — it's sold out, so watch official Halo Waypoint channels for any restock news before assuming you can still get one.
FAQ
What editions of Halo: Campaign Evolved are there?
Three: Standard Edition ($49.99), Digital Premium Edition ($69.99), and a physical Collector's Edition ($199.99), which has been sold out since June 8, 2026. All three include the Foundry Armory Pack pre-order bonus.
What's in the Foundry Armory Pack pre-order bonus?
A classic 2001-style Master Chief armor skin, a matching classic-style Assault Rifle skin, a Gilded Onyx armor style, and a Milestone Assault Rifle weapon style. It comes with every edition as a pre-order bonus, not just Premium or Collector's.
Does buying Standard Edition mean missing out on campaign content?
No. Standard includes the full campaign — all 10 original missions, the new Operation: Meteorite prequel arc, all 42 Skulls, and Campaign Remix. The Premium and Collector's editions add cosmetic skins, digital extras, and early access, not additional missions or gameplay systems.
How do I get early access to Halo: Campaign Evolved?
You need the Digital Premium Edition or the (sold-out) Collector's Edition. Both grant five days of early access starting July 23, 2026 at 8 AM PDT, ahead of the July 28, 2026 full release. Standard Edition owners can only play from July 28.
Is the Halo: Campaign Evolved Collector's Edition still available?
It has been sold out since June 8, 2026. It included a Premium Edition voucher, a collectible SteelBook, a 12-inch Master Chief statue by Dark Horse, an LED Cortana data chip replica, concept art prints, and a physical manual. Check official Halo Waypoint or retailer channels for any restock announcements.
