Quick answers

What is Forza Horizon 6?

Forza Horizon 6 is an open-world arcade racing game developed by Playground Games (with assistance from Turn 10 Studios) and published by Xbox Game Studios. It released on Xbox Series X|S and PC on 19 May 2026 (15 May for Premium Edition holders) and is set in a stylised version of Japan, featuring over 550 cars, a recreated Tokyo urban area, Touge mountain passes, Drift Zones, and seasonal live-service content. A PlayStation 5 version is planned for later in 2026.

Is Forza Horizon 6 on Game Pass?

Yes. Forza Horizon 6 is available on Xbox Game Pass (Xbox and PC) from day one, meaning subscribers can play the full game without a separate purchase. A premium upgrade — which includes early access (four days before the standard release), the Car Pass, and bonus content — is available as a paid add-on on top of the Game Pass version.

How many cars are in Forza Horizon 6?

Forza Horizon 6 launched with over 550 cars — approximately a 40% increase over Forza Horizon 5's launch roster. The roster spans every era and class from vintage classics to modern hypercars. Cover cars at launch are the Toyota 2025 GR GT Prototype and the 2025 Land Cruiser. New cars continue to arrive weekly through the Festival Playlist.

What is the Wristband progression system?

Wristbands replace the simple XP level from earlier Forza Horizon games. There are seven tiers: Yellow, Orange, Red, Purple, Blue, Silver, and Gold (Horizon Legend). Each tier is earned by accumulating Horizon Festival Points through race wins, PR stunts, Bonus Board destruction, and Horizon Promo photos. Reaching Gold unlocks Legend Island, an exclusive area with endgame content.

Does Forza Horizon 6 have Touge racing?

Yes. Touge — Japanese mountain-pass head-to-head racing — is a dedicated race type in FH6, reflecting the Japan setting. Touge events run on narrow, technical mountain roads where line discipline and weight transfer matter far more than raw power. The Mitsubishi Minicab TA dominates budget Touge classes, while higher classes reward precision builds over brute-force S2 power.
