Quick answers

When does Lords of the Fallen II release and on which platforms?

Lords of the Fallen II is scheduled for Fall 2026 on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 — making it the first Lords of the Fallen title to release on a Nintendo platform. A simultaneous launch across all platforms was confirmed at Summer Game Fest 2026.

Do I need to have played the original Lords of the Fallen (2023) first?

Familiarity with the 2023 game helps you understand the world, but Lords of the Fallen II tells a story set 100 years later and is designed to be accessible as a standalone entry. The Umbral ending of the first game is treated as canon, which sets the stage for LOTF II's world state — a brief lore recap is built into the opening of the sequel.

What is the Umbral realm in Lords of the Fallen II?

The Umbral is a parallel mirror world that overlaps the mortal realm (Axiom). Using the Umbral Lamp you can step into the Umbral to reveal hidden paths, reach otherwise inaccessible areas, and revive after death — but lingering too long draws increasingly powerful threats. In LOTF II the Umbral 2.0 system makes the realm bleed dynamically into Axiom, creating shifting environments and escalating danger the longer you remain.

Does Lords of the Fallen II have co-op multiplayer?

Yes. Lords of the Fallen II features full co-op progression — both players retain all quest and upgrade progress earned during a session. Up to two players can explore Axiom and the Umbral together. The Umbral 2.0 system is fully co-op compatible, meaning both players can shift between realms and share Umbral threats.
