WARDOGS Vehicles How to Buy and Unlock Them

Updated October 20266 min readBy

In WARDOGS you buy vehicles from a dedicated Vehicle Vendor in the safe zone, and two things stand between you and a ride: a level on the right progression track (Driver, Pilot or Wardog) and cash. Levelling only unlocks the option to buy; you still pay for the vehicle each time you spawn one. The one helicopter that needs no level is the MH-6, at $6,250. Vehicle prices and gates below come from community guides (the developer does not publish a vehicle table), so where they disagree, this guide says so.

01How to Buy a Vehicle

Open your map in the safe zone and look for the Vehicle Vendor marker. Pick a vehicle, pay, and it spawns for you.

Two costs apply to each vehicle. GameBrief describes a one-time unlock tied to your Driver or Pilot level, plus a recurring spawn price you pay on every life. NeonSect makes the same point: reaching the level only unlocks the purchase, the vehicle is not handed over.

02The Three Progression Tracks

Vehicles are gated across three independent tracks, and XP in one does nothing for the others (per guide coverage):

NeonSect and GameBrief both put the heavy tank on the Driver track at level 35. Artillery is reported at career (Wardog) level 90 with a $500,000 unlock by the same two guides. Check the vendor's lock label in game before you grind, since Early Access gates can change.

03Prices Two Sources Agree On

Only figures reported by at least two guides are listed here. Prices can change with patches, so treat them as a snapshot.

Everything else (tank spawn price, mid-tier helicopters, per-level gates) is left out rather than guessed, because the guides give different or single-source figures.

04What the Patches Changed for Vehicles

BULKHEAD's Update 0.1.2 notes capped the rewards for the vehicle fly-through exploit and stopped throwables (grenades, smoke, C4) being used from enclosed vehicle seats. Neither changes what vehicles cost, but both matter if you used vehicles to farm cash or fight from the cab.

The same patch notes confirm there is no leniency for cash or XP exploits, so do not build a vehicle plan around farming.

05Which Vehicle Should You Aim For?

  1. Start with a Bobcat or the MH-6 to learn spawn, driving and the economy cheaply.
  2. Grind Driver level for armed land vehicles if you play ground squads.
  3. Work toward level 35 for tank access if you want armor.
  4. Pilot levels only pay off if you fly regularly.

Cross-check the in-game vendor for your game version, since Early Access prices and gates move.

FAQ

Where do you buy vehicles in WARDOGS?

At the Vehicle Vendor marker on the map in the safe zone. Pick a vehicle, pay, and it spawns.

Do I keep a vehicle after I buy it in WARDOGS?

Guides describe two costs: an unlock tied to your level, and a spawn price paid each life. Plan to pay again whenever you spawn one.

What level do you need for a tank in WARDOGS?

NeonSect and GameBrief report the heavy tank at Driver level 35. Check the lock label at the vendor, as Early Access gates can change.

How much is the MH-6 helicopter in WARDOGS?

$6,250, and it is the only helicopter reported to need no Pilot level.

Do Driver, Pilot and Wardog levels share XP?

No. Guides describe them as independent tracks, so Driver XP does not raise Pilot level or the other way round.
