WARDOGS Maps Bakurani, Ozeti & Zestafona

Updated October 20266 min readBy

WARDOGS matches are fought on large maps, but only a 2 km by 2 km Control Zone is placed inside each one per match. Three maps are widely reported at Early Access launch: Bakurani, Ozeti and Zestafona. BULKHEAD has not published an official map list, so names, sizes and playable status come from fan guides that partly disagree. This page keeps confirmed and reported details apart.

01The Short Version

02What Steam Confirms

The Steam store page describes a large-scale, up to 100-player sandbox with three teams. The team with the most players inside the Control Zone earns points, and the first to 100 points wins. The zone is 2 km by 2 km and is randomly placed within a larger map. More maps are planned during Early Access, but the page does not name or count them.

For how the zone scoring and the double-counting Hot Zone work, see the Control Zone guide.

03The Reported Maps

One roster also lists a Sniper Showdown map (Bakurani Outskirts, Jutari) and a not-yet-playable map called Saburtulo. Treat these as unconfirmed.

04Map Size vs Play Area

Trackers measure each world at roughly 16 km edge to edge, but a match is played inside a circle. allthings.how reports a play-area radius of about 500 m on most maps, 550 m on Ozeti and 350 m on the sniper map, with the objective ring around 85 m. This conflicts in scale with the 2 km Control Zone on Steam, so the two figures probably describe different things: the zone is the contested region, the circle is the reported core fight area. Neither is officially broken down by BULKHEAD.

XGamingServer counts 171 named zones across the three maps, extracted from game files. Per-map counts are not given.

05Variants and Rotation

Neonsect reports three variations per map (nine configurations), noting BULKHEAD has not said what a variation changes. allthings.how describes named areas per map, such as Default, Farmland and Lumberyard on Bakurani, with Default picked about twice as often. These are datamined or tracker-sourced and may change per patch.
