How to Beat Lost Lace in Silksong
Lost Lace is the climax of Silksong — the true final boss and the hardest fight in the base game. She is the third and final form of Lace, the rival who duels Hornet across all three acts. Reaching her is a quest in itself, and beating her unlocks the game's true ending. This guide covers how to unlock the fight and how to win it. Major story spoilers follow.
Lost Lace is the true final boss of Silksong, fought in Act 3 — you only reach her by completing the Act 3 unlock quest (which requires the Needolin and the right choice before the Grand Mother Silk fight) and then traversing to a void area deep in the world. She is the corrupted culmination of the Lace duels from Acts 1 and 2: extremely fast, aggressive, and parry-heavy. Beating her unlocks the Sister of the Void ending. This guide contains major story spoilers.
01Spoiler Warning & Who Lost Lace Is
This guide spoils Silksong's true ending and Act 3 — turn back if you want to discover it yourself.
Lace is a recurring antagonist you first duel in Act 1's Deep Docks and again in Act 2. In the opt-in Act 3, she returns in a void-corrupted form as Lost Lace, the true final boss. Defeating her is the culmination of her arc and unlocks the Sister of the Void ending — and, with additional collectibles, the game's final 'to be continued' ending.
02How to Unlock the Lost Lace Fight
Lost Lace is gated behind Act 3, which is not automatic — most players miss it on a first run:
- Start the Act 3 unlock quest before the Grand Mother Silk fight. Act 3 only opens if you have set the right events in motion ahead of the Act 2 finale.
- Obtain the Needolin — the instrument tied to progressing the true path.
- Complete the Act 3 questline through the corrupted version of Pharloom.
- Reach the void area deep in the world where Lost Lace waits — you will need late-game traversal abilities to get there.
If you already finished the game and got the default ending, you can return to a save before the Grand Mother Silk fight (or replay) to access the Act 3 path.
03Lost Lace's Attacks
Lost Lace fights like a faster, deadlier version of the Lace you already know:
- Lightning-fast dashes and lunges that close distance instantly — she rarely gives you a moment to stand still.
- Multi-hit needle combos that punish greedy attacks; learn where each string ends before committing.
- Parry-able strikes — many of her attacks can be parried, which is the key to creating openings and healing space.
- Void-themed area attacks in her later phase that demand precise dodging and good arena positioning.
04Strategy to Beat Lost Lace
She rewards mastery of the systems the whole game has been teaching you:
- Master the parry. Parrying her strikes resets her combos and gives you the brief safety you need to attack or heal.
- Punish the end of her combos, not the middle — wait for the string to finish, hit once or twice, then reset.
- Heal only after a parry or a whiffed lunge — she is too fast to Bind on reaction, so make your own openings.
- Bring a Bind-support Tool (Injector Band or Warding Bell) so a stray hit does not cost your whole heal.
- Use a Crest you have mastered — this is not the fight to experiment with a new moveset.
- Stay patient. A slow, clean run beats an aggressive sloppy one; her damage output punishes mistakes hard.
