Marvel's Wolverine Voice Cast Official Confirmations and Leaked Pre-Release Names

Six actors are officially confirmed for Marvel's Wolverine ahead of its September 15, 2026 PS5 launch: Liam McIntyre as Logan, plus Krizia Bajos (Jean Grey), Nicole Pacent (Mystique), Brett Gipson (Sabretooth), Troy Baker (Mister Sinister) and Kelly Hu (Tyger Tiger) — revealed in stages between the game's 2025 announcement and Insomniac's pre-launch press push in July and August 2026. Two more characters, Omega Red and Lady Deathstrike, are confirmed to appear in the game, but the actors reported behind them are known only from the 2023 Insomniac data breach and have never been named officially. A further name tied to that same leak — Debra Wilson as the Morlock leader Callisto — is even shakier: unlike the others, neither the actor nor the character has been officially confirmed. Here is every name tied to the game, clearly labelled by how each casting was actually revealed.

01Liam McIntyre as Logan/Wolverine — Officially Confirmed

McIntyre was confirmed as Logan at the September 24, 2025 PlayStation State of Play. Insomniac's own PlayStation Blog post announcing the game's release window named him directly as the actor behind Wolverine, and the reveal was accompanied by behind-the-scenes footage of the motion-capture and vocal performance work. He later posted publicly on X about the role, writing that he had been working on it "for almost as long as my son has been alive" and that he'd "been waiting for this day for a long time."

McIntyre is best known to audiences as the lead of Spartacus: Vengeance and War of the Damned (2012–2013), the Starz drama in which he played the enslaved Thracian warrior through the series' final two seasons. His video game credits include Gears of War 4 (as JD Fenix) and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (as Taron Malicos). The physical intensity he brought to Spartacus — a role built around a gruff, battle-hardened fighter operating on the edge of survival — maps directly onto what Logan demands, and fan reaction to the casting has been strongly positive.

02The Supporting Cast Insomniac Has Officially Confirmed

McIntyre's casting stood alone for months, but between June and August 2026, Insomniac and Marvel Games officially confirmed five more actors — not through one splashy reveal, but through a character showcase, a Comic-Con panel, and a round of press interviews.

Jean Grey, Mystique and Sabretooth were first confirmed as appearing characters at the June 2, 2026 PlayStation State of Play, which showed Jean Grey fighting alongside Logan and described her as "a powerful telekinetic and emergent leader." The actors behind those three roles — Krizia Bajos (Jean Grey), Nicole Pacent (Mystique) and Brett Gipson (Sabretooth) — were then named publicly at Marvel's "Deep Cuts" panel for the game at San Diego Comic-Con in late July 2026, where Bajos appeared on stage alongside McIntyre to discuss Logan and Jean Grey's relationship.

Two more castings were confirmed on August 13, 2026, and again without a dedicated trailer moment: Insomniac and Marvel Games gave the news directly to entertainment outlets. Troy Baker was confirmed as Nathaniel Essex / Mister Sinister, and Kelly Hu was confirmed as Tyger Tiger. In an Entertainment Weekly interview, Marvel Games executive producer Eric Monacelli explained why Hu — who played a different character, Lady Deathstrike, in 2003's X2: X-Men United — wasn't brought back for that role: her "age and where she was at, didn't make as much sense" for Deathstrike, but the team wanted a recognizable actress to ground Tyger Tiger, the proprietor of Madripoor's Princess Bar.

03Troy Baker as Mister Sinister — The Highest-Profile Confirmed Casting

Troy Baker voicing Nathaniel Essex / Mister Sinister is the most headline-generating casting confirmed for the game outside of McIntyre himself. Baker is among the most recognised voices in gaming — Joel Miller in The Last of Us, Sam Drake in Uncharted 4, Booker DeWitt in BioShock Infinite, Pagan Min in Far Cry 4, and dozens of other marquee roles. The role had effectively been an open secret since footage bearing his likeness surfaced in the 2023 leak, and rather than build a dedicated reveal moment around it, Insomniac simply confirmed it through interviews given to Entertainment Weekly and Variety on August 13, 2026.

Mister Sinister is a long-lived geneticist who has obsessively studied and manipulated mutant DNA across centuries of Marvel Comics history. His particular fixation on Logan — having cloned, experimented on, and observed Wolverine across numerous storylines — makes him a natural fit for a game built around uncovering dark secrets from Logan's past. His confirmation as the apparent central villain, rather than a more physically immediate antagonist like Sabretooth or Omega Red, points to a story that prizes psychological weight alongside action.

04What's Still Only From the 2023 Leak

In December 2023, the ransomware group Rhysida breached Insomniac Games and, after the studio did not meet its ransom demand, published roughly 1.67 terabytes of stolen internal data — including early Marvel's Wolverine gameplay footage, concept art, and a partial cast list. Insomniac acknowledged the breach at the time but has never confirmed or denied the leaked cast list itself.

Two of the characters named in that leak have since had their in-game appearance officially confirmed through trailers: Omega Red and Lady Deathstrike (Yuriko Oyama) both featured in a July 2026 cinematic trailer covered by outlets including Game Informer. But the actors reported to be behind them — Raphael Korkhill (Omega Red) and Jolean Kim (Lady Deathstrike; some outlets spell it "Jolene Kim") — have never been named by Insomniac or Sony. Their casting is known only from the 2023 leak, as reported at the time by outlets including Gfinity Esports and Clutch Points.

The shakiest name of all is Debra Wilson as Callisto, leader of the Morlocks. Unlike Jean Grey, Mystique, Sabretooth, Omega Red and Lady Deathstrike, Callisto has not been named or clearly shown in any PlayStation Blog post or official trailer breakdown we could verify — a figure some fans identified as Callisto in Morlock-related gameplay footage is fan speculation, not an Insomniac confirmation. Wilson's name for the role traces back solely to the 2023 leak. Treat this specific pairing as the least certain entry on this page.

05What Remains Without an Official Actor

As of early September 2026 — with the game about to launch — Insomniac still has not published a complete official voice cast list. The characters below are confirmed to appear based on official gameplay footage and PlayStation Blog posts, but Insomniac has not named a performer for any of them:

• Bolivar Trask — the primary human antagonist, an industrialist funding the Reavers; shown prominently in official gameplay coverage; no official actor named
• Ogun — the dark ninja sorcerer from Logan's past who once attempted to possess his mind; confirmed as a character; no official actor named
• Leech — a young Morlock child confirmed to appear; no official actor named

This is standard practice for pre-launch game marketing: even confirmed characters often don't get official cast credits until close to or at release. With about ten days left before the September 15, 2026 launch, one or more of these could still be named — or could simply turn up in the credits without a dedicated announcement.
