Marvel's Wolverine launches on September 15, 2026, exclusively on PlayStation 5. Developed by Insomniac Games, the title is built from the ground up for PS5 hardware and is not coming to PS4. Pre-orders are live now in both Standard and Digital Deluxe editions.

01The Official Release Date

After years of anticipation following the game's reveal at PlayStation Showcase 2021, Insomniac Games confirmed the release date at the PlayStation State of Play on June 2, 2026. Marvel's Wolverine will release globally on September 15, 2026.

The announcement came alongside a full story trailer and extended gameplay reveal, showing Logan in action across the game's key locations. The September window positions the game roughly two months ahead of what many consider the biggest game of the decade, giving it a clear runway to make its mark before the holiday season heats up.

02Platform: PS5 Exclusive

Marvel's Wolverine is a PlayStation 5 exclusive at launch. Insomniac has designed the game specifically for PS5 capabilities — there is no PS4 version, and no PC or Xbox release has been announced or confirmed at this time.
