Genshin Impact Daily Farming Planner: Talent Books & Weapon Materials Today

Updated August 20265 min readBy the HowToPlayHub team

Every domain in Genshin Impact rotates on a strict three-day cycle — and the first question you ask each morning is always the same: what can I actually farm right now? This interactive planner detects today's weekday and shows every talent book series and weapon ascension domain that is open, by region and character. For the full domain schedule, book counts, and resin math behind these rotations, see the companion Talent Book Farming Guide.

01How the Weekday Rotation Works

All Domains of Mastery (talent books) and weapon ascension domains share the same three-day rotation. Think of each region's domain as cycling through three material groups:

The in-game day flips at 04:00 server time (not midnight). If you play after midnight but before 4 AM, the game still considers it the previous day. The planner below uses your device clock; keep the server-reset nuance in mind for late-night sessions.

Note: the in-game day flips at 04:00 server time, not midnight. Late-night sessions may show tomorrow on your clock while the game still runs today's domains.

Mondstadt and Liyue domains shown. Inazuma and later regions follow the same Mon/Thu · Tue/Fri · Wed/Sat rotation — check the Adventurer Handbook (in-game compass) for those domain schedules.

03Making the Most of Your Resin on Rotation Days

Knowing which domains are open is only half the battle — spending your 160 daily resin efficiently is the other.

Use Condensed Resin every time. Each Condensed Resin (crafted from 40 Original Resin + 1 Crystal Core + 100 Mora at any Crafting Bench) doubles the drops of a single domain run. For a talent domain you plan to visit repeatedly, always convert before you enter.

Batch characters who share a day. If two priority characters both need the same book series — say Hu Tao and Xiangling both need Diligence (Tuesday/Friday) — one batch of runs covers both. Check today's planner and farm as many aligned characters as resin allows.

Sunday is the catch-up day, not the primary farm. Sunday opens everything simultaneously, which is perfect for topping up a book type you missed earlier in the week. It is not more efficient than a weekday run — the same drop rates apply — so do not defer primary farming to Sunday and then run out of Condensed Resin.

Pre-farm before a new banner. If you know which character arrives next patch, check their required book series now and start stacking Philosophies while their domain is open. A cache of 30–40 Philosophies waiting in inventory means you can push talents immediately on release day rather than spending banner weeks grinding the domain.

For a deeper resin priority framework covering every activity in the game, see the Genshin Impact Resin Guide.

FAQ

What talent books can I farm today in Genshin Impact?

It depends on the day. Monday and Thursday unlock Group 1 books (Freedom, Prosperity, Transience, Admonition, Equity, Contention, Moonlight and their region equivalents). Tuesday and Friday unlock Group 2 (Resistance, Diligence, Elegance, Ingenuity, Justice, Kindling, Elysium). Wednesday and Saturday unlock Group 3 (Ballad, Gold, Light, Praxis, Order, Conflict, Vagrancy). On Sunday every domain opens all three of its book series simultaneously. The interactive planner at the top of this page auto-detects your current weekday and shows the full list.

What day are Freedom books available in Genshin Impact?

Books of Freedom (Teachings/Guide/Philosophies of Freedom) drop from the Forsaken Rift domain in Mondstadt on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday. They are the Group 1 talent material for that domain, alongside Prosperity (Liyue), Transience (Inazuma), Admonition (Sumeru), Equity (Fontaine), Contention (Natlan), and Moonlight (Nod-Krai/Lightless Capital) — all of which open on the same days. If today is Monday or Thursday you can farm Freedom books right now; if it's Sunday you can farm them alongside any other series.

Can you farm all talent books on Sunday in Genshin Impact?

Yes — Sunday is the one day every Domain of Mastery opens all three of its book series simultaneously, meaning you can farm any talent material from any region in a single session. This is ideal for topping up a series you missed earlier in the week or for characters that need books from two different domains. Sunday drops the same materials at the same rates as weekday runs; the advantage is flexibility, not higher efficiency.

What is the talent book rotation schedule in Genshin Impact?

All talent domains run on a strict three-day cycle: Group 1 opens Monday/Thursday, Group 2 opens Tuesday/Friday, Group 3 opens Wednesday/Saturday, and Sunday unlocks everything. This schedule applies identically to every region — Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine, Natlan, and Nod-Krai all follow the same pattern, just with different material names (Moonlight/Elysium/Vagrancy from the Lightless Capital domain in Nod-Krai). New regions added in future versions follow the same rotation. You can confirm the current day's selection inside the game via the Adventure Book calendar (compass icon, top right menu).

Does the domain schedule reset at midnight in Genshin Impact?

No — the in-game day resets at 04:00 server time, not at midnight. If you play after midnight but before 4 AM, the game still treats it as the previous calendar day, so the same domain selection remains open. The Daily Farming Planner on this page uses your device's local clock; if you play late at night, keep the server-reset timing in mind since your browser's date may already show the next day while the game has not yet flipped.
