Legend Island is Forza Horizon 6's endgame area — a part of the map that's invisible and inaccessible until you've proven you've genuinely worked through most of what Japan has to offer. Playground Games has rebuilt how it's reached compared to Forza Horizon 5, and it's the last major chunk of base-game content before you're into ongoing Festival Playlist territory. Here's exactly what it takes to get there and what's waiting once you do.

01What Is Legend Island?

Legend Island is a separate section of the FH6 map that doesn't appear — and can't be driven to — until you've unlocked it. It functions as the game's endgame: a self-contained area with its own races, stunts, and a second Horizon Festival outpost, meant to give committed players somewhere to go once the main career campaign is largely finished.

It's noticeably smaller than the mainland regions, and it's built to be revisited rather than rushed through once — content there is meant to fill out the game's late-game and ongoing seasonal loop, not to be a five-minute victory lap.

02How to Unlock Legend Island

Unlocking Legend Island has two parts that happen together:

• Accumulate 32,500 Horizon Festival Points — the points tracked by the yellow "H" icon activities across the map. This is a large total that in practice means completing almost every race and Stunt Scene event on the mainland; the result of each event doesn't matter for this total, only that you finish it.
• Earn the Gold Wristband, the final tier of FH6's wristband progression, which comes from that same Festival Points total.
• Complete The Colossus, a Street Scene event widely considered one of the hardest single races in the game. Reaching and finishing it is what actually triggers the Horizon Legend Event that opens the route to Legend Island.

In short: this isn't something you stumble into early. It's a natural finish line for players who've been steadily clearing races, stunts, and photo challenges across the whole map rather than beelining the main story.

03What's on Legend Island

• The Goliath — one of FH6's signature marathon circuit races starts from Legend Island itself.
• Exclusive PR Stunts — Speed Zones, Danger Signs, and similar challenge activities unique to the island, not duplicated from the mainland.
• A second Horizon Festival outpost — the only alternate Festival site on the map, functioning as its own hub once you're there.
• XP boards — collectible bonus-XP pickups physically placed around the island, same as the mainland regions.
• Access to Event Labs — FH6's sandbox/custom-event creation tools become available from here.

Once you've cleared what Legend Island itself has to offer, the ongoing endgame loop shifts to the Festival Playlist and any live seasonal content, rather than more one-off unlockable areas.

04Is It Worth Rushing?

Because the 32,500-point requirement only cares about completion, not placement, the most efficient route is to simply play through the map thoroughly rather than trying to "optimise" toward the unlock specifically — finish every race and Stunt Scene you come across, regardless of how well you place, and the points add up on their own.

The Colossus itself is also one of the better-paying events in the game for credits and XP, so treat it as a two-birds unlock: clearing it both opens Legend Island and gives one of the bigger single payouts available, which is worth stacking with a broader credit-farming session rather than treating as a pure story gate.
