Who Voices Cai, Dietrich, Theodora and Leda?

Nintendo has confirmed both the English and Japanese voice casts for Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave ahead of its September 17, 2026 launch on Switch 2. Here is every confirmed actor for the four protagonists, the dual-gender avatar Eshmel, and the wider supporting cast, along with what else those actors are known for.

01The Four Protagonists

Each of Fortune's Weave's four playable leads has a confirmed English and Japanese actor:

• Cai — Zeno Robinson (English) / Daiki Yamashita (Japanese)
• Dietrich — Xander Mobus (English) / Satoshi Hino (Japanese)
• Theodora — Shara Kirby (English) / Minami Takayama (Japanese)
• Leda — Katiana Sarkissian (English) / Mariya Ise (Japanese)

Theodora's English casting was announced separately from the other three leads. Shara Kirby is a returning voice to the franchise — she previously voiced Ganglot in Fire Emblem Heroes — and has described herself as a longtime fan of the series, having played Awakening, Fates, and Three Houses before landing the role. Her Japanese counterpart, Minami Takayama, is an established veteran with roles in Case Closed and Honkai Impact 3rd.

02Eshmel, the Time-Travelling Protagonist

Eshmel — the Herald of the Pale Raven confirmed at the August 4, 2026 Nintendo Direct as the game's true protagonist — is a customizable, dual-gender avatar in the Byleth/Robin tradition, and is cast accordingly. The confirmed male Eshmel voice is Joshua Waters in English and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka in Japanese. Matsuoka is one of anime's most recognizable voices, known internationally for Sasuke Uchiha in Naruto and Shoto Todoroki in My Hero Academia, which makes his casting as Eshmel notable for Japanese-audio players.

Beyond the four leads and Eshmel, additional confirmed cast members include:

• Tialla — Madeleine Morris (English) / Maki Kawase (Japanese)
• Peter — Michael Johnston (English) / Kazutomi Yamamoto (Japanese)
• Bonaparte — Dave Fennoy (English) / Satoshi Tsuruoka (Japanese)
• Esmeralda — Kendell Byrd (English) / Hana Hishikawa (Japanese)

This is not a complete roster of every unit in the game — Fortune's Weave has a large cast spread across five story routes — but it covers every major character confirmed publicly ahead of launch.
