Nintendo notes elsewhere that listed download sizes can shift slightly before launch, so treat this as the figure to plan storage around rather than an exact final byte count.

That is a large download by the standards of Nintendo's own first-party output — Fortune's Weave's expanded scope, with five playable routes, full voice acting in two languages, and a large explorable world, plausibly explains the bigger footprint compared to earlier handheld-era Fire Emblem titles.

02Switch 2's Storage: 256 GB Internal, microSD Express Only

Nintendo Switch 2 ships with 256 GB of internal storage, described by Nintendo as eight times the base storage of the original Switch. A 29.5 GB install for Fortune's Weave takes up roughly 11–12% of that internal capacity on its own — manageable, but worth factoring in if you already have several other large Switch 2 titles installed.

None of Nintendo's confirmed materials suggest the physical cartridge changes the underlying 29.5 GB install footprint — Switch 2 physical games can still require data to be present locally to run, and day-one patches are common across the industry.
