Enshrouded Cinder's Cradle How to Get There in 1.0

To reach Cinder's Cradle in Enshrouded 1.0, finish the Crown of Sorrow quest to get the Broken Guard of the North Crown, upgrade your Flame Altar to Level 10, then follow the Land of the Sky Islands quest to the Ancient Gate north of Veilwater Basin. Sources agree on that chain but differ on details past the gate, such as the Beacon dungeon order and Loraine Crim.

01The route at a glance

1. Complete Crown of Sorrow and pick up the Broken Guard of the North Crown in the Cromville Throne Room.
2. Upgrade the Flame Altar from Level 9 to Level 10.
3. Start the main quest Land of the Sky Islands, which leads to the Ancient Gate north of Veilwater Basin.
4. Cross the Shroud-filled approach and continue to Cinder's Cradle.

02Step 1: Crown of Sorrow and the Broken Guard

Xbox Play's guide says to travel to Cromville, enter the Throne Room, and pick up the Broken Guard of the North Crown from the throne. G-Portal gives the same location during the Crown of Sorrow quest. The item is a required ingredient for the Level 10 Flame upgrade, so you cannot skip it.

03Step 2: Flame Level 10

G-Portal lists the Level 10 requirements as 60 Spark, 1 Broken Guard of the North Crown, 15 Gleam Root Dust, 10 Piscine Ivory Dust, 30 Drak Blood, 10 Shroud Sludge, 30 Daylily and 16 survivors with beds. These match the table on the Enshrouded wiki that we use in our Flame Altar upgrade guide, which also covers every earlier level.

Xbox Play warns that entering with a lower Flame Level means you will die quickly, so do the upgrade first instead of testing the gate early. It adds that Gleam Root and Piscine Ivory must be milled, which takes time, so start those early. Check your own Strengthen the Flame screen before you farm, since costs have been rebalanced before.

04Step 3: Land of the Sky Islands and the Ancient Gate

Xbox Play says the Land of the Sky Islands quest unlocks automatically once the altar reaches Level 10. G-Portal describes the same quest as leading to the Ancient Gate north of Veilwater Basin, in the far north of Embervale. Xbox Play places the gate near the border between Cromville Hot Spring and Lake Luma and suggests starting from the Ancient Spire in Veilwater Basin or a nearby Flame Altar of your own.

05Step 4: The Shroud and what to bring

Xbox Play states you must survive deadly Shroud to access the Cradle, and G-Portal calls the region a mix of ruins, lava and Shroud. G-Portal says enemies are mostly around levels 46 to 48 and recommends decent gear, buff food and plenty of healing. Whisper of the House advises bringing a Grappling Hook and Glider, healing and stamina recovery, and spare inventory space.

06Beacon dungeons: where sources disagree

G-Portal and Whisper of the House both say six Beacon dungeons must be activated to power the way onward (Whisper of the House says the Ancient teleport platform at Cinder's Ascent). They disagree on order: G-Portal says it does not matter, Whisper of the House says Springlands must come first. Xbox Play describes the beacons as powering teleporters on the floating islands and does not mention an order. If a dungeon refuses to count, try Springlands first.

The three pages also describe Loraine Crim differently: Xbox Play has you rescue her at the top of the sky roads, G-Portal has you summon her at Cinder's Ascent, and Whisper of the House says you speak to her at your base. We cannot reconcile these, so follow your quest tracker.

07If you get stuck

Confirm your Flame Level and your tracked objective first. G-Portal notes some players are stuck on the floating islands, which usually comes down to unfinished Beacon objectives. Whisper of the House warns that the Albaneve Summits Hollow Halls are a different location and do not count toward the beacon objective. In the flooded Veilwater Basin dungeon, Whisper of the House says oxygen can fall to critical levels in the optional deep shaft, so surface when it drops. For boss prep, see our bosses guide.
