FC 27 The Grounds Modes, platforms & Clubs
The Grounds is FC 27's open social football hub, and it only runs on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Switch 2, not PS4, Xbox One or the original Switch. It hosts Kickabouts, small-sided matches, minigames and now your Clubs.
01Which platforms can play it
The Grounds is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Switch 2. Players on PS4, Xbox One or Switch 1 do not get it, so check your platform before planning to play with friends.
02What you can do there
EA lists small-sided play (1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and Rush), Attacking Scenarios and minigames including Bucket Ball, Balloon Ball, Goal Control, The Big Race, Team Keepaway and Bocce Ball. A session holds up to 100 players. Archetypes are unlocked by default, and the mode adds Amps, Masteries and a Season Pass.
03The map: Terrace, districts and stadiums
Every session starts on the Terrace, the central square that links the rest of the world. From there you can walk straight to the Clubhouse entrance for Clubs, read the information kiosks and open The Grounds Store.
- Montclair: cage pitches in a French city setting.
- Zeiza: Argentine potrero-style street football.
- Parkside: British grassroots football.
- 11v11 Stadium: 11v11 Drop-in matches.
- Rush Stadium: drop-in Rush, Ranked Rush and Rush Tournaments.

04Mentors and what each one teaches
- Alex Hunter (from The Journey) runs player-improvement challenges.
- Kylian Mbappé covers small-sided play, agility and creativity.
- Chloe Kelly leads Kickabouts and other casual activities with friends.
- Paulo Dybala runs Clubs and Stadium events built around teamwork and Club identity.

05Clubs live inside The Grounds
Clubs now live inside The Grounds, including Leagues, Playoffs and Live Tournaments. If you played Clubs before, that is where to find it now.
06October update
Title Update v1.1.0 (27 October 2026) fixed about 40 Grounds issues, including partial match resets after a Hot Join failure, expired Live Events still showing in menus, and a post-match error that showed a Match Rating of 0 at the maximum Archetype Level.
07Tips for new players
- Start with small-sided matches to learn the controls.
- Use the minigames to earn progress while you practise.
- Squad up before Clubs play to fill Leagues and Playoffs.
Red Bull's review calls The Grounds the first version of the mode and says it needs more substance.
