Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG with real-time dodge, parry and jump inputs, developed by Sandfall Interactive and published by Kepler Interactive. Set in a Belle Époque-inspired French fantasy world, it follows Expedition 33 — the 33rd group sent to stop the Paintress, a being who erases people from existence each year. It released in April 2025 to enormous acclaim and won Game of the Year 2025.

You build a party from six playable characters: Gustave, Lune, Maelle, Sciel, Monoco, and Verso (who joins later in the story). Each has a distinct mechanic — Maelle's stances, Lune's Stains, Sciel's Foretell charges, and Verso's Rank system among them — so party composition and individual builds matter a great deal.
