WARDOGS Medic Revives, Gear & Unlocks
WARDOGS has no class-select screen: you become a Medic by carrying medical gear and using it, which levels the Medic track. Revives are the job. Every life starts with a free one-use Emergency Resuscitator, the Defibrillator revives instantly but needs batteries, and Season 2 (Update 0.2.0, October 15, 2026) moved the Defibrillator from level 11 to level 22 and raised its unlock fee to $110,000. This guide is about how to play the role; level gates and prices come from BULKHEAD's own patch notes.
01The Short Version
- Season 2 numbers (official): MP5 unlocks at Medic 4, Medical Bag at 14, Vityaz at 15, Defibrillator at 22, Super-45 unlock fee $200,000.
- Every life starts with a free one-use Emergency Resuscitator; the Defibrillator revives instantly but needs a battery.
- Clear or smoke the area before kneeling at a body, because an interrupted revive costs time.
- A dead Medic revives no one. Stay one piece of cover behind your squad.
02How Revives Work
KeenGamer's progression guide, published after launch, describes two revive options. The Emergency Resuscitator is free, works once per life and revives teammates faster. The Defibrillator revives instantly but requires a battery, so carry spares; the same guide calls it unnecessary if you only revive occasionally.
BULKHEAD's Update 0.1.2 also made revive validity checks server-authoritative to cut exploits, so abusing revives is not worth it.
I found no reliable source giving revive duration in seconds, range, or the exact XP and cash per revive, so none are quoted here. Check the payout shown in your own game.
03Reviving Under Fire
This section is practical advice from playing the role rather than sourced facts, since guides do not agree on mechanics.
- Smoke the body first. M18 smoke grenades are part of the Medic track (the white one is a level 5 unlock per KeenGamer).
- Approach from a different angle than the one your teammate died from.
- Stay behind cover while the revive runs, and wait out nearby enemies rather than kneeling in the open.
- Heal the revived player afterwards, then yourself if needed.
04Season 2 Unlocks and Prices
The Season 2 patch notes called the Medic track the largest reshuffle of weapon and attachment unlocks. The changes that matter for how you play, all from the official notes:
- MP5: level 15 to level 4, unlock fee $75,000 to $25,000.
- Medical Bag: level 24 to level 14, unlock $75,000 to $50,000; durability 100 to 150. Vendor price $2,000 to $1,800.
- PP-19 Vityaz: level 4 to level 15, $25,000 to $50,000.
- Defibrillator: level 11 to level 22, $50,000 to $110,000.
- Super-45: unlock $150,000 to $200,000; vendor price $2,600 to $5,600; damage fall-off beyond 50 m increased.
- Individual First Aid Kit: level 9 to 10. Adrenaline Pen: level 14 to 16.
- PP-19 Bizon is unlocked by default (new vendor price $1,000), and the AMP-9 moves to level 20 for $75,000.
- Field Resuscitator vendor price $500 to $425.
Older guides still list level 11 for the Defibrillator and level 24 for the Medical Bag. Those are Season 1 numbers. Reaching level 20 is also much faster now: BULKHEAD says it takes less than half the playtime of Season 1.
05Which Weapon to Run
The Medic's value is staying alive next to the person you revive, so pick the SMG for your squad's range rather than for XP. Season 2 changes the choice: the MP5 is now available at level 4 with a cheaper unlock, and the Super-45 became a close-quarters weapon because its damage drops off beyond 50 m. For the general ranking, see the best weapons guide.
06Medic XP: What Pays
Exact per-action figures differ between guides and predate Season 2, so none are quoted as current. Check your own payout screen.
Season 2's official notes moved some roles' rewards, such as repair XP going to driver or pilot tracks, but did not list a new Medic revive figure. Treat any exact number you see as unverified.
For the money side of reviving, see the money guide and the progression tracks page for the wider XP picture.
