KCD2 Console Commands & Cheats — How to Enable and Use Them
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 hides a developer console behind a launch option. It lets PC players add groschen, spawn items, clear a wanted level or skip Saviour Schnapps. Below: how to switch it on, the commands that several independent guides agree on, and the ones we left out because we could not confirm them.
KCD2 has a built-in console, but only on PC: add -devmode to the game's Steam launch options, start the game and press the tilde (~) key. The commands that at least three guides agree on are wh_cheat_money, wh_cheat_addItem, cheat_set_wanted_level=0, wh_rpg_OneShotKill = 1, goto and wh_rpg_getLocation. Back up your saves first, and note that PlayStation and Xbox have no console.
01How to Enable the Console (PC Only)
The console exists only on PC. Dexerto notes that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S have no equivalent, so console players cannot use any of this.
- Open your Steam Library, right-click Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and choose Properties.
- In the General tab, type
-devmodeinto Launch Options. - Launch the game, load a save and press the tilde key (
~, the backtick key on many layouts) to open the console. - Type a command and press Enter. Guides warn that commands are case-sensitive, so copy them exactly.
To turn cheats off again, delete the launch option and restart the game.
02Before You Cheat: Protect Your Save
Console commands change your save permanently. Copy your save folder somewhere safe before experimenting, and keep a normal save from before you started. None of the three main guides clearly states whether cheating affects achievements, so we can't promise it is safe — assume it might be, and avoid commands that unlock things wholesale if you care about your achievement list.
Also remember that KCD2 is designed around scarcity: money, saving and wanted status are the game's tension. Use the console the way you would a modding tool, sparingly and on purpose.
03Money and Items
wh_cheat_money 5000— adds that amount of groschen to your inventory. Replace 5000 with any number.wh_cheat_addItem— spawns an item by its ID. Item IDs are long UUIDs; Dexerto shows a quantity written after the ID as well. Use a published item-ID list for the exact ID.

04Saving, Guards and Combat
we_sys_nosavepotion = 1— lets you save whenever you like without Saviour Schnapps. Method writes the same command with a different prefix (wh_sys_NoSavePotion = 1); if one is rejected as unknown, try the other.cheat_set_wanted_level=0— clears the wanted status so guards stop hunting you.wh_rpg_OneShotKill = 1— one-hit kills — Method notes this applies to enemies against you as well, so dodge instead of blocking. Set it back to 0 to return to normal combat.player.soul:AddBuff('4add60ab-9015-4e56-9f7a-cb19345d6d49')— the god-mode (invincibility) buff, given with this same ID by PCGamesN and Dexerto. PCGamesN writes it with a leading#; if the plain form does nothing, try that.

05Movement and Horses
wh_rpg_getLocation— prints your current coordinates.goto— teleports you to a location; Dexerto shows it as x y z, so pair it with getLocation to save and return to a spot.wh_horse_StealCurrentHorse— makes the horse you are on your own, without taking it to a horse handler first.

06Commands We Left Out
Some lists also include lockpicking tweaks (for example wh_pl_LockPickingDOF), fog-of-war removal, HUD hiding and an unlock-all-achievements command. We found each of these in only one guide, or with conflicting descriptions, so we don't list them as working. For lockpicking, our lockpicking guide is the reliable route.
Patches can rename or remove commands, so if one does nothing, check that you typed it exactly and that -devmode is active.
