GTA 6 Activities Guide — Every Side Activity Confirmed So Far

GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI) hasn't launched yet, so there's no official activities list from Rockstar. But between Trailer 2, the wave of official screenshots released around pre-order launch on June 25, 2026, and the 26-minute "Extended Look" gameplay reveal that premiered on Netflix on August 27, 2026 (with a wider release on Rockstar's YouTube channel the same night), Jason and Lucia have now been shown doing a lot more than shooting and driving — fishing, hunting, working out, racing, and hitting Leonida's nightlife. This guide rounds up everything Rockstar has actually shown on-screen, separated from what's still guesswork.

01How to Read This Guide: Confirmed vs Speculation

Every activity below comes from official Rockstar material: Trailer 2 (released May 6, 2025), the official screenshots Rockstar published around the June 25, 2026 pre-order launch, or the August 27, 2026 "Extended Look" gameplay reveal — 26 minutes of footage Rockstar has said was captured entirely in-game on PS5. Where something is inferred rather than directly shown — like whether an activity is a full repeatable mini-game or a one-off scripted scene — it's called out explicitly.

None of this is a full features list. Rockstar has confirmed the November 19, 2026 release date but has not detailed exactly which activities are available from day one, tied to specific story missions, or added later. Treat everything here as "shown to exist," not "guaranteed to work exactly like this at launch."

02Outdoors: Fishing and Hunting

Two activities that never appeared in GTA 5 return by way of Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar's other open-world franchise:

• Fishing: Official footage and screenshots show a protagonist casting a rod from a boat, and Rockstar's own map material for Mount Kalaga National Park — one of the six official regions of the Leonida map, revealed May 6, 2025 — specifically describes it as offering "prime hunting, fishing, and off-road trails." Rockstar hasn't detailed the exact minigame mechanics — whether it's a Red Dead Redemption 2-style timing system, a simpler cast-and-reel loop, or tied to specific bodies of water — but the activity itself is confirmed to exist.
• Hunting: Wildlife encounters are shown at Mount Kalaga National Park, including deer and other animals native to a Florida-inspired setting, and Rockstar's own description of the park names hunting directly (see above). The exact hunting mechanics (tracking, weapon restrictions, whether pelts or meat can be sold) haven't been detailed by Rockstar.

03Sports and Games

Several bar-game, fitness, and combat-sport activities are confirmed through trailer footage, screenshots, and the Extended Look gameplay reveal, mostly shown as something the protagonists do together or with side characters:

• Basketball: Official screenshots show Jason and a friend shooting hoops, and the Extended Look shows Jason making shots outside a safehouse. The activity is confirmed to exist, but the specific format hasn't been confirmed by Rockstar — whether it's a structured mini-game (1-on-1, team mode, or otherwise) or a scripted bonding moment isn't clear from official material alone.
• Gym and weightlifting: Confirmed as a real minigame with its own controls — the Extended Look shows Lucia testing her strength on a bench press, echoing the gym mechanics last seen in San Andreas. Rockstar hasn't confirmed whether this ties into a broader stats/fitness system.
• Backyard wrestling: The Extended Look shows a competitive backyard-wrestling activity, including WWE-style finishing moves. This is distinct from — and shown separately to — the cage-fighting glimpse below; treat it as its own confirmed activity rather than the same thing.
• Underground cage fighting: Trailer 2 (May 6, 2025) shows Lucia fighting in what looks like an MMA-style ring/cage as part of her character introduction — she's established as an amateur fighter. Whether this is a repeatable, playable underground fighting circuit or purely a character-establishing cutscene moment hasn't been confirmed by Rockstar; treat the exact structure as unconfirmed.
• Pool/billiards and mini golf: Official screenshots released around the June 2026 pre-order material list pool and mini golf alongside basketball, the gym, and racing as activities shown in that batch. Rockstar hasn't detailed the mechanics of either beyond the screenshots themselves, so treat both as confirmed to exist rather than fully detailed mini-games.

04On and Under the Water

Leonida's coastline, rivers, and swamps show up as more than scenery:

• Kayaking: Official footage shows a protagonist kayaking on the rivers around Mount Kalaga, and the Extended Look confirms kayaks as a usable vehicle for exploring the waterways.
• Scuba diving: Screenshots and trailer footage show underwater exploration of Leonida's waters, and the Extended Look goes further, showing what one outlet described as "full on scuba diving" including cave exploration. No details yet on whether there's a dedicated diving objective system (treasure, wrecks) or if it's primarily exploration.
• Airboating: The Extended Look also shows a protagonist piloting an airboat through the swamps — a Florida-specific detail not previously confirmed.

05Off-Road and Racing

Racing is more heavily confirmed than most other activities on this list. Dirt bike and off-road racing footage appears in Trailer 2, and the Extended Look adds a proper stock/rally car race on a dedicated course to the confirmed list. Rockstar has not confirmed whether these are structured event types (like GTA Online's races) or purely open-world traversal challenges.

06More Confirmed From the Extended Look: Base Jumping, a Shooting Range, and a Strip Club

The August 27, 2026 Extended Look reveal added several activities that weren't shown in earlier material:

• Base jumping / parachuting: Shown as a returning traversal option, similar to past GTA games.
• Shooting range: A dedicated training-facility activity appears in the footage, separate from combat encounters in missions.
• Strip club: Confirmed directly rather than just glimpsed — the Extended Look shows Jason at Jack of Hearts throwing money at a dancer while Lucia watches nearby, an event outlets covering the footage tied to the venue's in-world "Make It Rain Mondays" branding.

How deep any of these go mechanically (repeatable systems with rewards vs. one-off scripted moments) hasn't been detailed beyond what's visible in the footage.

07Nightlife

Leonida's nightlife is one of the more heavily featured lifestyle elements across the trailers, screenshots, and the Extended Look — and it splits into two kinds of venue rather than one big undifferentiated "nightlife" bucket. Jack of Hearts is itself the strip club shown in official material (its "Make It Rain Mondays" event is where the make-it-rain moment described above happens), and Delights Cabaret, in Port Gellhorn, is a second strip-club-style cabaret venue. NINE1NINE is a separate, regular nightclub in Vice City shown in the Extended Look with a dance floor, bars, and NPC crowds, where Jason can sit, dance, greet other characters, and interact with dancers. As with the sports activities above, it's not confirmed how much of this is interactive nightlife content (minigames, minigame-adjacent systems) versus atmospheric world detail — but NINE1NINE's contextual interaction prompts suggest at least some of it goes beyond pure scenery.

08Vehicle Collecting: Wyman's Classic Car Collection

• Full activity list. Everything above is what's been shown on-screen — Rockstar has not published an official activities or features list. Expect more to surface as launch approaches.
• Which activities are launch-day features vs. added later. Not specified for any activity covered here.
• Mechanical depth. Whether fishing, hunting, basketball, and the rest are full systems with progression and rewards, or lighter scripted/ambient activities, hasn't been detailed by Rockstar for any of them.
• GTA Online integration. None of the activities above have been confirmed one way or the other for GTA 6's online mode, which itself has not been detailed yet.
