GTA 5 Cheat Codes — PC, PlayStation & Xbox
GTA 5 has a full set of cheat codes covering health, wanted level, weapons, special abilities, weather, physics and vehicle spawns. On PC you type the cheat phrase directly while in-game — no tilde console required. On PlayStation and Xbox, you enter button sequences. This guide lists every confirmed working cheat, grouped by category, with exact inputs for all platforms.

01Important — Cheats and Achievements
Activating any cheat disables Achievements (Xbox) and Trophies (PlayStation) for the entire play session. The only way to re-enable them is to quit to the main menu and reload your save. Steam achievements on PC are similarly disabled for the session.
Cheats do not permanently affect your save file — they are session-only toggles. A cheat that spawns a vehicle or grants invincibility does not carry over after you reload. However, the session-long achievement block is the key reason to save before using cheats.
There is no cheat for money in GTA 5 story mode. Rockstar never released one. Any website claiming to have a money cheat is incorrect.
02How to Enter Cheats — PC
On PC, simply type the cheat word/phrase while in-game (not during a cutscene). There is no console to open — just type on your keyboard and the letters appear invisibly. When the sequence is correct, a notification confirms the cheat is active. The cheat is case-insensitive.
You can also use the in-game phone: press Up to open your phone, go to Contacts → and dial the phone number if one exists for that cheat (listed below). This is slower but works during some moments when keyboard input is blocked.
03How to Enter Cheats — PlayStation & Xbox
On PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, enter the button sequence quickly but not frantically while in free-roam. You do not need to pause or open anything first. A small notification will appear in the upper-left corner when a cheat activates successfully.

FAQ
Is there a money cheat in GTA 5?
No. Rockstar has never released an official money cheat for GTA 5 story mode or GTA Online. Any website or video claiming to have a money cheat code is either fake or trying to scam you. The real way to make large amounts of money in story mode is through the Lester assassination missions and the in-game stock market.
Do GTA 5 cheats work in GTA Online?
No. Cheats are disabled in GTA Online entirely. They only work in story mode. Using third-party mods to introduce cheat-like abilities in GTA Online violates Rockstar's Terms of Service and can result in a permanent ban.
Do GTA 5 cheats disable saves?
No — you can still save your game manually after using cheats. However, cheats disable Achievements and Trophies for the entire session. To re-enable achievement tracking, you must exit to the main menu and reload your save file without re-entering any cheats.
How do I enter cheat codes on PC in GTA 5?
