It sounds like a straightforward freebie, but the auto-renewal behavior is worth understanding before you redeem the code, especially since GTA 6 itself doesn't launch until November 19, 2026.

01What You Get

A free one-month trial of GTA+, applied to your current GTA Online account. GTA+ is Rockstar's ongoing subscription for GTA Online, and its benefits carry over unchanged to whatever the free month unlocks:

• GTA$500,000 deposited to your Maze Bank account each month you're subscribed
• Membership to The Vinewood Club, including a 100-car garage, a free claimable vehicle every month, and member-exclusive vehicle discounts
• Free access to a rotating library of other Rockstar titles (past libraries have included GTA 5's story mode, the GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, Bully, L.A. Noire, Liberty City Stories, Chinatown Wars, and Red Dead Redemption)
• Other perks and discounts that change from month to month

02Who Qualifies

The bonus is tied to how you buy the game, not which edition:

• Digital pre-orders only. Physical (boxed retail) pre-orders do not include the free GTA+ month.
• Either edition qualifies. The free month comes with both the Standard Edition and the Ultimate Edition — you don't need the pricier edition to get it, the same way the separate Vintage Vice City Pack applies to both editions.

03The Auto-Renewal Catch

This is the part worth paying attention to before you redeem the code. Activating the free month enrolls your account in GTA+'s recurring subscription. Once the free month ends, it rolls straight into a paid membership — currently billed at $7.99 USD per month (£6.99 in the UK) — charged automatically through whichever storefront handled your pre-order (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, or the platform tied to your account), unless you cancel first.

There's no separate reminder built into the redemption flow — if you activate the code and forget about it, you'll be charged for a full month the moment the trial ends.

Timing tip: because GTA 6 doesn't release until November 19, 2026, redeeming the code as soon as you pre-order means your free month — and the first paid renewal, if you don't cancel — will likely land well before the game is even out. Waiting closer to launch to redeem it, or redeeming and then immediately turning off auto-renewal in your platform's subscription settings, avoids paying for a month you can't spend playing GTA 6 itself.

04Redemption Deadlines

The window to claim the free month differs by platform:

• PlayStation: claimable through March 31, 2027
• Xbox: claimable within 180 days of your pre-order date
