Elden Ring Trophy & Achievement Guide: All 42, Missables, and Platinum Tips

Elden Ring's full trophy list contains 42 trophies — 1 Platinum, 3 Gold, 14 Silver, and 24 Bronze — with no multiplayer-locked trophies and no new additions from the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Most accumulate naturally during a thorough first playthrough. The real planning challenge is a handful of missable items and three different ending trophies that can only be earned one per save without a deliberate save-backup strategy.

01Trophy Breakdown at a Glance

Here is how the 42 trophies divide across tiers:

• Platinum (1): Elden Ring — awarded automatically once all other 41 trophies are unlocked.
• Gold (3): The three ending trophies — Elden Lord, Age of the Stars, and Lord of Frenzied Flame. One per playthrough without save manipulation (see the save-backup section below).
• Silver (14): Six Shardbearer boss kills, three late-game boss kills (Maliketh, Hoarah Loux, Dragonlord Placidusax), and five collectible-set trophies (Legendary Armaments, Legendary Talismans, Legendary Ashen Remains, Legendary Sorceries and Incantations, and God-Slaying Armament).
• Bronze (24): All remaining named boss encounters plus three progression milestones — reaching Roundtable Hold, activating your first Great Rune, and burning the Erdtree.

One important upside compared to older FromSoftware games: there are no covenant trophies or multiplayer-only trophies. You can take the entire list fully offline if you prefer.

Shadow of the Erdtree, released in June 2024, added no new trophies or achievements on any platform — the total stays at 42 regardless of whether you own the DLC.

02Missable Trophies — Handle These Before Advancing

Most of Elden Ring's trophies cannot be missed — boss trophies unlock the moment you defeat the boss, and the world gives you ample time. A small number are genuinely time-gated by story progression, and these are the only ones worth planning around.

Legendary Armaments (Silver)

This trophy requires collecting all nine Legendary Armaments in one save file. Two of those nine weapons become permanently unavailable after specific story triggers:

• Bolt of Gransax — found on the massive spear embedded in the city wall in Leyndell, Royal Capital. Once you defeat Maliketh, the Black Blade, Leyndell transforms into the Ashen Capital and this weapon's pickup location is gone forever. Collect it before fighting Maliketh.
• Ruins Greatsword — reward for defeating the Misbegotten Warrior and Crucible Knight duo at Redmane Castle. Once the Radahn Festival begins, this duo disappears from the arena and the sword is no longer available from this source. Fight the duo before triggering the festival.

The other seven legendary weapons (Grafted Blade Greatsword, Sword of Night and Flame, Marais Executioner's Sword, Eclipse Shotel, Devourer's Scepter, Golden Order Greatsword, and Dark Moon Greatsword) are obtainable throughout the game without a story-locked window.

Lichdragon Fortissax (Bronze)

This boss is reached through Fia's questline in Deeproot Depths. If you kill Fia before completing her story — by attacking her in Roundtable Hold or ending her questline prematurely — you lose access to this encounter on that save. Fia is easy to avoid antagonising: simply do not attack her, and follow her questline to its natural conclusion before moving on.

03Getting All Three Ending Trophies in One Playthrough

The three Gold ending trophies (Elden Lord, Age of the Stars, Lord of Frenzied Flame) are mutually exclusive per playthrough — the game lets you choose one at the very end. To avoid two extra playthroughs, you can use a save-backup loop that costs no additional story progress:

1. Defeat the final boss (Radagon / Elden Beast). Do not interact with Queen Marika's statue yet.
2. Back up your save. On Steam, copy your save file to a separate folder. On PS4/PS5, use PS Plus cloud storage or a USB drive. On Xbox, the cloud backup is automatic.
3. Interact with the statue and choose your first ending. The trophy unlocks.
4. Restore the backed-up save — this returns you to standing in front of the statue.
5. Choose your second ending. Trophy unlocks. Restore again.
6. Choose your third and final ending. All three Gold trophies collected, Platinum unlocked.
7. If you want the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending, you must expose yourself to the Three Fingers by stripping all gear and opening a hidden basement under the Cathedral of the Forsaken before the final boss encounter — this can be reversed up until the boss fight, so most players do it last.

This method is supported on all platforms and is the standard approach recommended across trophy-hunting communities. It requires only one full playthrough plus a few minutes of save management at the very end.

04The Five Collectible Silver Trophies

Beyond boss kills, five Silver trophies require deliberately hunting down specific in-game collectibles. These demand the most active effort and planning:

• Legendary Armaments: Collect all nine weapons listed above. Plan around the two missable ones; the rest can be gathered throughout the playthrough.
• Legendary Talismans: Collect all eight — Radagon Icon (Raya Lucaria Academy), Godfrey Icon (reward for defeating Godefroy the Grafted), Radagon's Soreseal (Fort Faroth), Moon of Nokstella (Nokstella, Eternal City), Old Lord's Talisman (Crumbling Farum Azula), Marika's Soreseal (Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree), Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman (also Elphael), and Erdtree's Favor +2 (post-Leyndell-ash Forbidden Lands area). None are missable, but several require deep exploration of Farum Azula, Nokstella, and the Haligtree.
• Legendary Ashen Remains: Collect six specific Spirit Ashes: Lhutel the Headless, Black Knife Tiche, Mimic Tear, Redmane Knight Ogha, Cleanrot Knight Finlay, and Ancient Dragon Knight Kristoff. Several are dungeon-end rewards; Mimic Tear is found in a chest locked behind an Imp Statue door (requiring a Stonesword Key) in Night's Sacred Ground, Nokron, Eternal City.
• Legendary Sorceries and Incantations: Collect all seven — Comet Azur, Stars of Ruin, Elden Stars, Founding Rain of Stars, Ranni's Dark Moon, Flame of the Fell God, and Greyoll's Roar. None require remembrance trades, so you're free to spend remembrances on other rewards.
• God-Slaying Armament: Upgrade any standard weapon to +25, or any special (Somber-upgraded) weapon to +10. This follows naturally from consistent weapon upgrading — reach the Bell Bearings at the Smithing Master Hewg vendor in Roundtable Hold and gather enough Smithing Stones.

None of these five are time-gated except where the weapons in Legendary Armaments overlap with the missable warning above.

05Boss Trophies: What Unlocks Naturally

The majority of the list fills in on its own during any thorough playthrough. The Silver boss trophies are:

• Six Shardbearer trophies (Silver): Shardbearer Godrick, Shardbearer Radahn, Shardbearer Morgott, Shardbearer Rykard, Shardbearer Malenia, and Shardbearer Mohg — the six demigod remembrance bosses. You need only two of their Great Runes to enter Leyndell, but all six are needed for the full list.
• Maliketh the Black Blade (Silver): Required story boss in Crumbling Farum Azula.
• Hoarah Loux, Warrior (Silver): Required second-phase transition of Godfrey, First Elden Lord.
• Dragonlord Placidusax (Silver): Optional hidden boss in Crumbling Farum Azula — reached by lying down on a specific crumbling ledge indicated by the environmental cue of "aged spirit" dust.

The 24 Bronze boss trophies span a wide range — from early Limgrave encounters like Margit and Leonine Misbegotten all the way to late-game optional bosses like Astel, Naturalborn of the Void, and Commander Niall. Use the boss checklist on this site to track which you still need.

Three Bronze trophies are pure story milestones and unlock automatically: Roundtable Hold (first time you arrive), Great Rune (first Great Rune activated), and Erdtree Aflame (Fire Giant defeated, Erdtree lit at the Giant's Forge).

06Platinum Roadmap: Recommended Order

A reasonable single-playthrough approach for a clean platinum run:

1. Before Radahn Festival: clear Redmane Castle and defeat the Misbegotten Warrior + Crucible Knight duo to secure the Ruins Greatsword. The festival triggers when you speak to Witch-Hunter Jerren at Redmane or reach Altus Plateau via Grand Lift of Dectus.
2. Throughout the playthrough: defeat all major bosses as you reach them — Shardbearer trophies and Bronze boss trophies accumulate naturally. Pursue Fia's questline in Deeproot Depths (requires Ranni's questline progression for access) to unlock Lichdragon Fortissax.
3. Before fighting Maliketh: collect Bolt of Gransax in Leyndell Royal Capital. This is the single most important missable checkpoint — once Maliketh falls, the city changes permanently.
4. Throughout: collect the five legendary collectible sets at your own pace. The sorceries and incantations in particular benefit from tackling questlines early (Ranni's questline for Ranni's Dark Moon, Sellen's questline for Comet Azur and Stars of Ruin).
5. At the very end: use the save-backup loop described above to collect all three ending trophies without a second playthrough.

Estimated time to platinum: roughly 60 to 100 hours, depending on familiarity with the game, boss difficulty encounters, and how thoroughly you explore side content. Players already experienced with the game can aim closer to the lower end; a first-time blind run with no boss-kill shortcuts typically lands near the higher end.
