Dune: Awakening Landsraad Guide Missions, Decrees & Rewards

Updated November 20268 min readBy

The Landsraad is a weekly contest: Atreides and Harkonnen players complete Landsraad missions to fill a House's contribution bar, the first side to reach 70,000 on a House wins its vote, and the winning faction's guild leaders pick one server-wide decree. Your personal rewards depend only on your own contribution, not on who wins.

01How a Landsraad Term Works

Each week starts a new Landsraad term. A board of Houses is revealed and both factions race to claim them. The winning decree applies for that term only, and a new term starts the following week.

To take part, speak to the Atreides or Harkonnen recruiter at the Anvil, the tradepost in the Eastern Vermillius Gap, to start that faction's questline and unlock the Landsraad. You also need to belong to a guild, but a one-person guild is enough for personal rewards.

Two things are decided every term, and they are independent of each other:

02Landsraad Missions: How You Earn Contribution

Since Update 1.3 (the Chapter 3 update, February 2026) the Landsraad runs on Missions instead of the old kill-count and resource hand-in tasks. Completing a Mission raises your Faction Rank (up to Rank 20), your Great House Standing and your Specialization XP. Three Missions per Landsraad bloc are available at any time, and each can be completed on behalf of any House currently revealed on the board.

Update 1.4.10 (June 24, 2026) added five more missions across Hagga Basin and Smuggler's Run: Convergence (triangulate landmarks to find a Fremen relic), Sample Recovery (hunt sandworm samples), Clear the Run (defeat Maas Kharet), Watching the Run (establish surveillance) and Terminal Velocity (recover an experimental sandbike engine).

03Winning a House and the Sysselraad

The first faction to reach 70,000 Landsraad Contribution on a House secures that House's vote for the term. A faction wins the weekly vote by claiming five Houses in a row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal, the Sysselraad) or by controlling more Houses than the opponent when the voting session starts.

Practical consequence: contribution to a House that your faction is clearly going to lose is wasted for the vote, but it still counts toward your own tiers.

04Decrees: Who Votes and What They Do

The winning faction's guild leaders choose one of three randomly offered decrees. The decree then applies server-wide for the term. Only guild leaders vote, and voting power comes from the contribution their guild's members made during the term, so ordinary members influence the outcome by contributing and by lobbying their leader.

The current decree pool includes:

05Personal Reward Tiers and When to Claim

Every House offers five rotating reward tiers per term, at 700, 3,500, 7,000, 10,500 and 14,000 personal contribution. They are claimed from the House Representative and are not tied to your faction winning the House.

Reaching a higher tier also gives you the lower ones, so there is no need to claim after every tier: contribute through the week and collect at the end.

06Playing Solo

You can finish missions and collect all five personal tiers alone. Real vote influence still needs a guild, because only guild leaders choose the decree. Since Update 1.5 the single-player Landsraad simulates other guilds to keep the competition alive.

07Quick Strategy

  1. Check the board at the start of the term and note which Houses your faction is already leading.
  2. Spend most missions on Houses your faction can realistically hit 70,000 on, aiming at a row of five.
  3. Keep contributing to Houses your faction is not winning; your personal tiers do not depend on the faction vote.
  4. Ask your guild leader which decree to vote for, and compare it with what your guild actually uses (refining, repairs, damage).
  5. Claim rewards from the House Representative once at the end of the week.

FAQ

How does the Landsraad work in Dune: Awakening?

Each week Atreides and Harkonnen players complete Landsraad missions to build contribution on Houses. The first faction to reach 70,000 on a House wins its vote, and the faction that gets five Houses in a row, or controls the most Houses when voting starts, picks a server-wide decree.

Who votes on Landsraad decrees?

Only guild leaders of the winning faction vote. They choose one of three random decrees, and their voting power comes from the contributions their guild's members made during the term.

What are the Landsraad reward tiers?

Each House has five tiers at 700, 3,500, 7,000, 10,500 and 14,000 personal contribution. You receive all tiers below the one you reach, and you claim them from the House Representative.

Do I get Landsraad rewards if my faction loses?

Yes. The personal tiers depend on your own contribution, not on which faction wins the House.

When does the Landsraad reset?

Weekly. A Landsraad term, its voting session and the elected decree all end 5 minutes before the weekly Coriolis Storm apex (the game announces the apex time on Monday), and the next term starts right after.

Can I do the Landsraad solo?

Yes. You can complete missions and collect every personal tier alone, and since Update 1.5 the single-player Landsraad simulates other guilds. You need a guild to influence decree votes.

Is the Landsraad Tax still in the game?

No. The Landsraad Tax was removed in the Chapter 3 update in February 2026; see our base building guide for what replaced it.
