ARC Raiders Quests Guide All Traders & Questlines
Quests are ARC Raiders' main long-term progression system, sitting alongside raiding and crafting rather than replacing them. Five traders in Speranza — Shani, Celeste, Tian Wen, Apollo, and Lance — each hand out their own line of contracts, and working through them is the most reliable way to unlock gear, blueprints, and crafting materials you won't easily stumble into by looting alone. This guide covers how the contract system works, what each trader focuses on, and how to plan raids around quest objectives instead of chasing them one at a time.
01How Quests Work in ARC Raiders
Every trader in Speranza has a dedicated Quests tab alongside their buy/sell shop. Open a trader's menu, switch to the Quests tab, and you can browse the contracts they currently have available, read the objective and reward for each, and accept the ones you want to work on.
Accepted quests show up in your logbook and can be tracked on the HUD during a raid, so you can see progress toward an objective — like collecting a specific item or reaching a location — as you play. Most quests only need a normal raid to progress; they layer on top of whatever else you're doing rather than requiring a dedicated trip.
Quests are largely non-linear: you can hold contracts from multiple traders at once and work on them in whatever order suits the loot you find, though some quests within a single trader's line do gate behind completing earlier ones in that chain.
02The Five Quest Traders
Each trader's contracts lean into a distinct theme, both in flavor and in what kind of raiding they push you toward:
- Shani — runs the largest questline in the game, built around reconnaissance, communications, and intel-gathering objectives: scouting locations, recovering data, and reporting back on ARC activity.
- Celeste — focused on environmental and resource objectives, sending you after specific materials and tasking you with restoring or maintaining parts of Speranza itself.
- Tian Wen — Speranza's resident gun craftsman: her line is technical and weapons-focused, built around repairing gear, tracking down sabotage against her own caches, and recovering weapon components.
- Apollo — infrastructure and construction-themed, with objectives around repairing, building, or reinforcing structures and settlement equipment.
- Lance — the smallest questline, built around medical and pharmaceutical objectives: recovering medical supplies and completing contracts tied to Speranza's healthcare needs.
The exact number of quests per trader has grown across content updates and differs between community trackers, so treat any specific total you see elsewhere as a snapshot rather than a fixed number — new contracts have been added alongside major map and season updates.
03What Quests Reward
Completing a quest typically pays out in one or more of these categories, and the mix shifts depending on the trader and how far into their line you are:
- Crafting materials — stacks of components like Steel Springs, Wires, or Tactical parts, often exactly the materials you need to unlock the next crafting recipe.
- Gear and equipment — cosmetic outfits, backpack charms, and in some cases weapons or shield upgrades tied to a specific trader's line.
- Blueprints — some of the most valuable rewards in the game come from quest chains rather than raid loot; certain weapon and gear blueprints are quest-exclusive or dramatically faster to obtain through a questline than through random drops.
- Coins — a currency payout on completion, useful for buying gear or Safe Pocket keys between raids.
Because blueprint rewards are quest-locked in several cases, it's worth checking each trader's quest tab even if you don't plan to grind their full line — a single early contract can unlock a recipe you'd otherwise be relying on luck to find.
04Planning an Efficient Questing Route
- Check every trader's Quests tab before each raid, not just after. Objectives that overlap with loot you were already planning to grab (a specific item type, a specific building) cost nothing extra to complete if you've already accepted the contract.
- Hold multiple quests from different traders at once. There's no penalty for stacking contracts, and a single raid to one map can often make progress on two or three unrelated objectives simultaneously.
- Prioritize quests that unlock blueprints early. A blueprint reward permanently changes what you can craft, which compounds over every future raid — that's worth more long-term than a one-time coin payout.
- Don't ignore Lance and Apollo because their lines are shorter. Smaller questlines still gate useful gear, and they're often faster to clear in full than working through Shani's much larger line.
- Read the objective before committing to a risky zone for it. Some quest objectives point you toward Orange or Red zone locations — decide whether the quest reward is worth that risk before you head in, the same way you'd weigh any other Red zone push.
FAQ
How many traders give quests in ARC Raiders?
Five: Shani, Celeste, Tian Wen, Apollo, and Lance, each based in Speranza with their own Quests tab alongside their shop. Shani's questline is the largest of the five; Lance's is the smallest.
Do ARC Raiders quests need to be completed in order?
Not across traders — you can accept and work on contracts from all five at the same time in whatever order suits your loot. Within a single trader's line, some later quests do require finishing earlier ones in that chain first.
What do ARC Raiders quests reward?
Crafting materials, coins, gear like outfits and backpack charms, and in a number of cases weapon or equipment blueprints. Blueprint rewards are the most valuable long-term payout since several recipes are far easier to obtain through a questline than through random raid loot.
Can you complete ARC Raiders quests solo?
Yes. Quest objectives are tracked per-account rather than requiring a full squad, so any progress you make toward an objective during a solo raid counts. Some multi-step objectives are simply faster with a squad because you can split up, but nothing in the quest system requires a group.
Where do I track my active ARC Raiders quests?
Accepted quests appear in your logbook, accessible from the Speranza menu, and objective progress is also shown on the HUD during a raid so you can see what you still need without leaving the trader menu open.
